2/5/23
I created a bunch of different types of leaves that can be used on vines growing plants or instanced onto the flower stems.
I also am working on different timing variations for the vines. With a time offset parameter, I am able to make the leaves appear more slowly or faster or at the same time as the center stem. I am working on trying to make the leaves look more organically placed on the stem. Currently, they are instanced through the curve point normals.I am also looking into how to make curves grow from the curves and how to make more organic growth.
2/4/23:
On Thursday we were able to have a second shoot of backplates for our project. After loading them into resolve and nuke we were running into colorspace issues because the colors were looking over-saturated when bringing them in from program to program. To test different color space workflows I did different colorspace tests as illustrated down below.

We are reshooting on Monday with different backgrounds and we are also going to be shooting more reference pictures to try to figure out what is the correct colorspace.
2/1/23:
Plant Variation Progress: I began to attempt different variations of my fern effect to create new plants. I figured out how to instance differently shaped leaves as well as how to group and rotate the normals so the leaves are placed as a eucalyptus plant rather than a fern. I am going to attempt this same method with other types of plant leaves as well.
I also began altering the animation of the curve to achieve different ways of vines spreading across. The method that I am testing will become helpful when we need to shape the growing vines to grow around the perfume bottle rather than intersecting. The growing leaves on this stem are not the correct ones they are just to illustrate the curves growing effect. When the leaves for this vine are instanced I will also need to reverse the time at which they grow and have the leaves at the beginning grow before the leaves at the end and vis versa
