Senior Project Concept

Project Concept:

• In 50 years from now, the ocean will be dramatically different because of the constant pollution being put into the ocean

• I want to tell this story/narrative through the eyes of a surfer arriving at the beach 50 years from now just to have it covered in trash. As well as the ocean.

• My concept is for it to be filmed as if it was an informational/educational ad inspired by the ad council.

Live Action Footage:

  • Trash - RBD particle effects simulation

  • Dirty sand or fake sand -Grains or particle simulation

  • Combo particle effect and live-action footage

• Above shot of a surfer paddling away into the ocean surrounded by trash

Story Idea:

The year 2050 scene opens with the surfer putting on the wetsuit shot of the zipper going up or putting their foot into the hole. Walking down the beach walk to the beach. ( you can not see the trash yet) We cut to her finally stepping onto the sand but the beach is covered in trash. The final shot would be the aerial shot in the ocean of the surfer paddling through garbage and it will end with a statement like is this what our future looks like and then maybe a couple of facts about ocean pollution

I am still rearranging and editing the shots in a way that I think will tell the story best

I want to have minimal camera movement, to make it seem more like it's a camera watching not filming.
